Privacy Statement
Steve Ogden Real Estate is an independently owned and operated business. We are bound by the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 and will abide by it at all times. We respect your rights to privacy. Those principles regulate how we collect, store, use and disclose personal information about you and other individuals.

Collecting Information
We will collect personal information (where reasonable and practicable) directly from you (through application forms, open inspection registration books, appointment forms, agreements, correspondence including emails, our web site, and through verbal communications). We may at times collect your personal information directly from a third party in the course of verifying and evaluating tenancy applications and managing tenancy arrangements, and in carrying out agency services for a client, including thorough property searches. Please note that if you provide us with an application for a tenancy which is incomplete with the personal details requested, we will not be able to consider your application.

Using and Sharing Information
We use and share personal information for a number of reasons such as for the purpose of performing the services we have been engaged to provide with potential purchasers, vendors, tenants and landlords; during our appointments as property managers/sales agents and processing the necessary applications or documentation; promoting and marketing our services and the products and services of third parties (your personal information will only be used for this purpose and will not be disclosed to third parties): providing information and promoting properties for sale and rent to the market; replying to enquiries and information requests made by individuals; internal business processes such as market research and billing; and where required by law.

Keeping Information Accurate and Up To Date
We will ensure that the personal information we collect is accurate and complete. We will do this by ensuring that you have the opportunity to advise changes in personal details at all times.

Keeping Information Secure
We protect any personal information that we hold from misuse and loss. We also protect it from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. We will also take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information if it is no longer required.

Your personal information may be stored in hardcopy documents, as electronic data, or in our software or systems. We maintain physical security over our paper and electronic data stores and premises. We also maintain computer and network security; for example, we use firewall security measures for the lnternet and other security systems such as user identifiers and passwords to control access to our computer system.

Under the National Privacy Principles, you have a right to see your information to ensure that it is correct. lf you would like to correct any personal information in our records, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will take all reasonable steps to correct any information which you demonstrate to be inaccurate, incomplete or obsolete.
